Day 01: Delhi – Haridwar (200Kms, 4.5/5Hrs drive)
Visitors will be picked up in morning from hotel City Centre and drive towards Haridwar – an ancient pilgrim site known for the sacred river Ganges. The river enters plains, or Haridwar, after flowing for 255 kms from its source. The river further flows towards Indo – Gangetic plains of North India.
Haridwar is regarded as one of the holiest Hindu pilgrims where people perform rituals related to life and death. Check into a hotel upon arrival in this city. After freshen up proceed for sightseeing of Haridwar. Visit Chandi Devi Temple; dedicated to Goddess Chandi, located atop Neel Parvat on the eastern side of river Ganges; followed by Mansa Devi Temple; located atop Bilwa Parvat, which is a popular Hindu pilgrim site.
Visit Har ki Pauri Ghat to experience world renowned ‘Ganga Aarti’ along its banks. Get back to the hotel and stay there overnight.
Day 02: Haridwar – Rishikesh (25Kms, 30 minutes drive)
Have sumptuous breakfast in the hotel and proceed towards Rishikesh, located 25 km north of the city of Haridwar, in the foothills of Himalayas of the Garhwal region. Head towards Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula. The former is a 450-feet long suspension bridge across river Ganges. Made from iron, it is one of the most prominent landmarks of Rishikesh followed by Trayambakeshwar Temple located on the east bank of river Ganges. Also visit Ram Jhula, which is the second most peculiar iron suspension bridge made over river Ganges near Shivananda Ashram.
Explore other interesting places such as Gita Bhawan, Triveni Ghat and Neelkanth Mahadev Temple among others. Get back to Haridwar for overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Haridwar – Delhi (200Kms, 4.5/5Hrs drive)
Have breakfast in the hotel and depart for Delhi. Proceed for respective hotel or residence upon arrival in Delhi. This concludes Haridwar Rishikesh weekend tour from Delhi.
